- Come down Roselle Road afterwards. Mezze is what suits a morning spent outdoors — baba ghanouj, hummus and muhammara are no worse for the wait in the car.

- Order ahead and collect at the top of lunch; nine minutes is all that separates our door from Woodfield.

Is it quicker from the north or the south end of Schaumburg?
Much quicker from the north, and it is a bigger difference than people expect. From the Roselle Road end, up by Medieval Times, it is about four minutes. From the Springinsguth Road end down by Wintrust Field it is nearer fifteen. The middle of town sits at eleven.
